Keys Vineyard Church

Baptism

Go public with your faith. Come up out of the water to a church family cheering you on.
What baptism is

An outward sign of an inward change.

Baptism is how you tell the world you belong to Jesus. Going under the water pictures the old life buried; coming up pictures the new life you now have in Him.
Jesus Himself was baptized (Luke 3:21–22) and asked His followers to be baptized too. The very first church did exactly that: “Those who accepted his message were baptized.” (Acts 2:41)
You don’t have to have it all figured out. If you’ve decided to follow Jesus, baptism is your next step, and we would be honored to baptize you.
Watch

Bahia Honda, September 26, 2026

Nine people went public with their faith in the ocean at Bahia Honda. Here’s what it looked like.
The celebration

Every baptism is a party.

What to expect

Three simple steps.

We baptize throughout the year, usually in the ocean. When you sign up, we’ll let you know the next date.
Tell us you’re ready. Fill out the short sign-up form. It takes about a minute and asks for your T-shirt size, because we give you one.
We’ll connect with you. A pastor will reach out to talk about what baptism means, answer your questions, and confirm the date.
Baptism day. Wear your KV baptism shirt and something you don’t mind getting wet. Bring a towel, a change of clothes, and everyone you love. We’ll take care of the rest.
Questions

Things people ask us.

Do I need to be a member of Keys Vineyard?
No. If you’ve decided to follow Jesus, you can be baptized with us.
I was baptized as a baby. Should I be baptized again?
Many people who were baptized as infants choose to be baptized as believers, as their own public declaration of faith. We’d love to talk it through with you.
Can my kids be baptized?
Yes, when they can understand and express their own decision to follow Jesus. Reach out and we’ll talk with you and your child about it.
Where do baptisms happen?
Usually in the ocean at Bahia Honda, and sometimes at the church. We’ll tell you the location when you sign up.
What should I wear?
Your KV baptism T-shirt and shorts or a swimsuit underneath. Dark colors work best. Bring a towel and dry clothes for afterward.
Can I invite family and friends?
Please do. Baptism is a celebration, and the more people cheering, the better.
